Now you know I’m picky about how I eat and what I Eat. Even more picky when it comes to a deli sandwich, I got know is the bread fresh what kind of mustards, mayo is being used and all important was the meat sliced here or is it store bought. Usually I’m the guy in the Safeway line taking forever and a day to get regular hot pastrami. So when I do food reviews trust and believe it’ll have to be one of the best. Which brings me back to this little town Martinez, California most known for its car shows, crazy parades and rock and Roll, Actual the drink the Martini was made in Martinez (Crazy huh) If your close hers where you need to be. Down Main Street just a hop and a skip from the Amtrak on the Corner of Main St. & Castro lay some authentic Albania blends. Lugi’s Deli is AWSOME!!!
To start off everything is made fresh on the daily, never once have I had a problem with any of the toppings plus the blends are just a parade in your mouth. Now if you’re a turkey Guy or a Beef Guy or a p-pastrami guy like myself the meat servings are well over they’re 5.99 value each sandwich is packed with meat juicy enough to fill your cup and drink. And not those sloppy sandwiches you get at subway when the toppings outweigh the sandwich. Try a Lugi Specialty Italian it comes with a Sourdough roll, some dry salami, and coppa meat pilled straight from the cows back! Lmao , mortadella cheese also comes with some provolone cheese, roasted Red peppers, Lettuce, tomato and Onion!!! This sandwich is screaming to the hungry stomach. Not only does his deli carry the best sandwiches go and try one of his fresh made authentic salads anywhere from Pasta Verde Salad to Calamari Salad lugi does it all.
It kills me when Mom & pop Restaurants get overlooked by Jared and RG3 a unhappy sandwich maker balancing school and the rick James song playing in the background, the toppings are never just Subway fresh and you can’t blend a nice Old Fashioned potato salad with a bag of Fritos to go along with your pepper turkey sandwich. Plus they’re open from 11-6 so you’ll beat the traffic after work just fine or if you want to stop by during lunch break they’re nice and friendly. How many Subways and Quiznos can you go to and actually Meet Mr. Subway or Mr.Quizno NEVER !!!! Lugi is always around with a smile call in an order at 11 pick it up by one and everyone’s happy Get down there and give it a try 4/5 stars
